Sportdigital, the German sports broadcaster, has made a significant expansion to its football programming. They've acquired a comprehensive UEFA package encompassing all U-17 and U-19 European Championships for both men's and women's national teams through 2028. This deal covers the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and also includes four major futsal tournaments.
The Hamburg-based pay-TV channel will broadcast 60 live matches from four youth tournaments in 2025 alone. Coverage begins immediately with the UEFA Women’s U-17 European Championship in the Faroe Islands. Subsequently, the UEFA Men’s U-17 Euros will be held in Albania from May 19th to June 1st. Germany's national team, under coach Michael Prus, will compete against Albania, France, and Portugal. The U-19 European Championships follow in June, with the women’s tournament in Poland and the men’s in Romania.
Sportdigital's expanded rights also include four UEFA futsal championships: men's and women's senior tournaments, plus the U-19 competitions in 2025 and 2027. The 2025 U-19 Futsal Euros will be in Moldova this September. The men's Futsal Euro will be in Latvia and Lithuania in early 2026, and the women's tournament is set for 2027. "We are thrilled to have secured such an attractive and wide-ranging rights package from UEFA. It guarantees us access to top-tier tournaments until 2028, where the focus will be firmly on the stars of tomorrow in both women’s and men’s football," stated Sportdigital Managing Director Bendix Eisermann.
